Man airlifted after Devizes stabbing

A man was airlifted to hospital just before 5.30pm today after being stabbed at a block of flats in Victoria Road, Devizes.
Police set up a cordon in the road after the attack at 4.46pm. One man who tried to breach the sealed off area and became angry when refused entry was arrested and put in handcuffs but later released when he calmed down.
Four police vehicles and an ambulance are at the scene.
It is understood the man was injured in a stairwell in the flats at the far end of Victoria Road.
The air ambulance was scrambled after emergency services were called and landed in the nearby Morrisons supermarket car park vat 5.30pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses 0845 4087000.
It is nearly a year ago that Matthew Baggott was stabbed to death in St John's churchyard in Devizes.

would the staff of the guzzette be better employed getting some fact about last nights alleged stabbing in Victoria Road??
It seems the "man on the spot" has published more interesting news overnight than we get in a month of Sundays from the usual guzzette reporters !!!

i disagree no one should stop giving them a hard time they have caused soooo much hurt and trouble round this town but yet when they cause it its ok but when he gets stabbed for (wat is more than likely his own fault anyway)its bad on the rest of us get in the real world and wake up to wat he is really like.
